Noumea Nd slow wifi

Noumea is a lovely place wonderful beaches and soft spring climate.  We took the local bus around the island which is a long rather narrow shape.  It apparently was once use as a penal colony and having been to French Guyana and Devils Island the poor souls who were sent here were certainly lucky  yby comparison.

We took a boat across to a small island 500 feet across,to swim and doe sun bathing.  We ate croque

Ms. And Mary drank the local beer..I had a pastis. So refreshing and much more to my taste than beer. 

We are back on the high seas for another two days.  Will in many regards be sorry to leave although the bland food is getting me down.
