Broome tour
Had to check out early so we checked our bags in the hotel. Having missed the local bus we hired a cab who drive us all around the area and left us inthe town where we. kW are....they call their downtown area China Town...a little confusing
We are in the Dragon Cafe....having health drinks until Mary decided she was properly hungry and
Ordered fish and chips.....a large piece of Barumbi. Not breaded and masses of chips
We had toured an aborigine shop which was air conditioned to an extreme,,,,here all the doors are open and there are many fans whiz zinc over top so it is quite pleasant
We learned that they have a 33 foot tide...one of the largest in the world.or so he said.
Lots of crocodiles...snakes..and sharks....every once in a while a croc comes up to the beach where people swim and the. It is caught and taken away...but that takes some time..
There is a port which is used to transport cattle... 12000 head at a time...
They are drilling for gas..and that too is e ported
The beef goes to Indonesia.
No gutters on roofs even tho in January they get a massive amount of rain, gutters also are a liability during the hurricanes which they suffer regularly

Tuesday ,is it the 28? Feels like the Friday 13th but we r surviving
Woke early as usual thinking of where to eat and how to organize some sight seeing and getting to the air port et
There are 3 airports ! But fairly close,.
So off for breakkie....12.50 with coffee , have not conquered coffee yet...it always has a taste of thick coffee mud
Then back to the
Room to pack ,check out and store bags,,we left for Kings Park to see the flowers and then I popped in to a store for something and realized my 350 dollars was not in my locked
Pocket...searching madly
Lots of philosophy
Going through my head,,after all its only money...not my passport or one of my two bra,s or my passport..but it was saddening,,,I returned to our checked out room to look around,,,,found my ear rings,,,forgot I had been wearing them
Got out checked luggage not there either
Finally we left feeling a little poorer but determined to get to Kings park,,if,even for a small walk
we took the CAT bus which goes everywhere for free..but still we were 30 minutes to he parkMary wanted ice cream...we,found a cafe,in the park,,,very snooty waitress,,,not an Aussie
But got some ice cream and water etc...and contemplated the scenery, the trees are magnificent and the jacarandas are,all in full bloomll lots,
I visited the Loo...and in these Tilly pants is a very secret deeply seated pocket,,,and wow.here were the elusive 6 fifty dollar bills..I came out to tell Mary two bits of good news ,,money found and there was a bus nearby,
,,,so we trotted out..
Missed one..crossed street ,missed another..it was now 1330 and our flight to Broome left at
1530
Where had the time gone
Phone a taxi
Go to visitor centre,,,two befuddled types were persuaded to call a taxi...we went to where it was supposed to,come,..

Mary stopped a,one legged man smoking something strange and asked about taxis..he got his friend to call..telling her to get her,ass into the centre if they did not come
They came
Now nearly 1400
To the hotel
Got. Bags
To the domestic airport
Had to undo my pants to get the money out to pay cabbie,pants fell to my knees as I got out of cab
Now 1430
Boarding pass in hand to security
Beep,beep,etc..who owns this ragged taped up black bag
Mary and bag removed
My new knee beeped
I was removed
But quickly returned
Mary still absent
Black bag has SCISsOrs!
Mary finally returned
Now 1500
Plane boarding in different terminal
Have to walk
Flight boarding
17a or 17b.
Which.?
Neither? This is Virgin air lines madam
Well says Mary we are virgins in this airport
Have to read Qantas board not the general one
Wrong terminal?
Return?
Flight boarding via a million stairs and a bus But We boarded
Boarded,Mary missing passport...found in different bag
On Plane!,,a miracle,
Wednesday BalmHot Broome
We arrived here so diligent ex to leave the cities...weare not city people
although the cities were nice.
We ate outside in the soft night..lots of people but most of them, from Broome..not visitors ,,,had a huge bowl of shrimps steamed .they were for
sharing. they must have been thinking of a large group
Mary has found cider on tap,,delicious she says
Breakfast was back to the 22 dollar range..had a cheese croissant with ham...cheapest thing o the menu. And we were rather struck dumb by the waitress indicating
A large jug jof water on a far table saying that The Water wWas Complimentary
Mary immediately said...put that Iin your blog
Am in my bathing suit by a wonderful pool where I think I shall spend the day

Monday October 27/14
Our last full day in Perth
Woke to warm weather and blue sky
Found a. Cheapish place for Brekky as the Aussies say....even. Saw some Caucasians....but most of the servers speak a very garbled English, not to mention the very strong A accent,
Our receptionist lady comes from Mauritus it her English is very clear...
Off for. Wine tour and the a two hour boat tour coming up the Swan we leave Perth at 1130 returning about 1900
Long day
We had a lovely day in Fremantel. Ending up with the friend food of choice...fish and chips...honestly. I think fish on Dith just as good.ll utmI had a large bowl of shrimps. Just swimming I garlic
With a salad and the ubiquitous French fries
